CD137, also known as 4-1BB, is a member of the TNFR super family. CD137 is closely related to CD27, OX40, and CD30. It is up-regulated on mouse and human T cells upon activation. 2 It has long been recognized as a costimulatory molecule for T cells. Expansion of the T cell population can be stimulated using recombinant IL-2, and after activation or expansion, the magnetic beads can be easily removed using a DynaMag™ magnet. For expansion of antigen-specific T cells from T cell clones or T cell lines, we recommend using Dynabeads® Human T-Activator CD3/CD28/CD137.
